Plein-Air Workshops– Oil, Acrylic and Watercolour
May Classes Offered on PEI
Destination/Holiday Landscape Painting Workshops with Bill Burns A.O.C.A.Tap into your creative self and discover tremendous self-confidence in your abilities as a painter! This easy method is great for the novice and advanced student alike. Learn to paint directly with great assurance and confidence as you discover the secret of simplifying your subject. This course teaches you how to see so as to render the principles of form, perspective, space, light, shade, plain, structure, proportion and texture by the use of two elements. YES, only TWO ELEMENTS; shape and light values! Discover principles of dynamic composition. Also, learn how to avoid muddy colours and use the light value scale and three primary colours to add vibrancy and vitality to your paintings. Discover the master artist within you!
A graduate of Ontario College of Art, Bill has been painting on-location landscape for over 25 years. Bill's approach to art is, simplistic - but intuitive - sensing the relationship between the intuitive and the emotive. "Art is emotive", he says, "and ones materials and approach must facilitate this". In his Workshops an emphasis is placed on a unique way of seeing and limited materials, which together, lend themselves to the emotive.
Bill will teach Plein-Air Workshops on PEI in May, on Cape Breton in June, in Ontario in July and in Alberta in August.
